The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I will damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would derail the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters met for the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
